It’s now a month into the season at McLemore Resort. And guess what you’ve missed? If you were not here at McLemore Resort in May for a McLemore Golf School or a McLemore Golf lesson, then you missed a series of notable events and activities. visitors with a mix of outdoor adventures, cultural experiences, and wellness programs. Here’s an overview of what you missed.
McLemore Golf Schools
A group of 9 golfers from around the country joined us for a fun filled and jam-packed McLemore golf school weekend in mid-May. From improving through full swings to learning the art of putting a ball straight, each brought home some nuggets they’re now using to make improvements to their golf skills.
McLemore Singer/Songwriter Concert Series at McLemore Resort
The 4th season of McLemore Resort’s Singer/Songwriter concert series began in May with Patrick Davis. Patrick has performed all 4 seasons and did not disappoint. With assistance from his father, Rusty, and long-time friend Les, he performed all originals and a cover of Elton John’s “Rocket Man”.
The concerts take place in the square beside The Creag each month. Tickets that include dinner are available in advance at this link.
McLemore Golf Lessons
The members and guests are beginning to come out and take a golf lesson or 2 from John Hughes, PGA Master Professional of Instruction. As well as the pro shop staff of McLemore Resort. Utilizing the practice facility and the TopTracer range technology, each client is learning how to improve their golf skills. While collecting objective data John and staff can use to document improvement. As well as creating challenges and assignments each can do on their own while practicing.
Cloudland Grand Opening
May 2nd marked the grand opening of Cloudland At McLemore Resort. Over 500 members, guests, and VIP’s were on hand for the festive event, held on the back lawn of the hotel.
Various food, wine, and spirits offerings were available at each of the restaurants. Many took advantage of the sunset view of McLemore Cove while sitting at the Skyside Bar, enjoying something from their menu. The evening was capped off with a live band and a spectacular drone show.
Sunday Services
A new Sunday Spiritual Service began in the first Sunday in May. Typically held at the McLemore events pavilion, the non-denominational hour features visiting pastors and preachers of various denominations.
Services start at 9am most Sundays.
Health and Wellness
The fitness center and spa at Cloudland Hotel are now fully staffed and ready to provide the guests of Cloudland and McLemore Resort with fantastic health and wellness services.
After a McLemore Golf School or McLemore Golf Lesson, you may want to consider a relaxing message at Selah Spa. Before a golf school or golf lesson, you may want get warmed up and properly stretched at the fully equipped fitness center.
There are also yoga and meditation sessions scheduled throughout the month.
Culinary Experiences
All 3 restaurants at Cloudland are now open, including the Skyside bar.
May also saw the unveiling of a brand-new menu at The Creag. Their world-famous hushpuppies remain. But are now complimented by shrimp pasta, chicken marsala, and a host of other culinary delights.
A Wine Tasting event series also began in May at The Creag. May’s featured wines were complimented by a variety of new appetizer offerings soon to be included in some of the menus.
Whether you make a reservation at The Croft, Auld Alliance, or The Creag, you’ll experience locally sourced ingredients that are infused within every dish. As well as hand crafted cocktails that pay tribute to the uniqueness of the area.
